The whole 40th
Psalm is one of the most beautiful passages of scripture in all the Bible.
It's authorship is ascribed to David, the man after God's own heart and
the sweet singer of Israel. Read all 17 verses. They all center
around the theme of our book " From Salvation To Service." Verse
two states our subject forcefully, " He brought me up also out of a
horrible pit (sin) ... and set my feet upon a Rock ( that Rock was
Christ
[I Corinthians 10:4]) and established my goings (service)."
There are seven principles which, when followed by a new Christian will
bring him to a successful, satisfying life of service. David stated
all seven of these principles in the 40th Psalm with his delightful
